Detailed information on the processing of personal data collected through cookies on the Borgstena Group's website, in compliance with Articles 12, 13 and 14 of the GDPR and with Law No. 41/2004 of 18 August.
This Special Sheet details the processing of personal data collected through cookies on the website www.borgstena.com and complements the Cookies Policy and the General Data Processing Information Sheet.

The processing of personal data collected through cookies is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), as regards the processing of personal data, and by Law No. 41/2004 of 18 August, as amended by Law No. 46/2012 of 29 August, on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector. The use of cookies that are not strictly necessary depends on the user's prior and informed consent.

7.Categories of data processed
Cookies may involve the processing of the user's online identifiers, traffic data and site usage data. The specific information processed by each cookie is set out in the description of the cookie in the table in point 6.
8.Recipients and third-party cookies
Data collected through first-party cookies are processed by Borgstena. Third-party cookies are placed by external entities — namely, in the case of the _GRECAPTCHA cookie, by Google LLC — over which Borgstena has no control. The processing of data by these entities is governed by their respective privacy and cookie policies.
9.International transfers
The use of third-party cookies may imply the transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area, namely to the United States of America. Such transfers observe the requirements of Chapter V of the GDPR, namely the applicable adequacy decisions or the appropriate safeguards provided by the responsible third party.
10.Data retention
Data collected through cookies are retained for the useful life period indicated for each cookie in the table in point 6, without prejudice to the user's withdrawal of consent at any time, in the case of cookies that depend on it.
11.Consent management and browser configuration
The user may choose the types of cookies they authorise through the privacy settings panel made available on the site. Consent may, at any time, be changed or withdrawn, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out up to that point. The user may also configure the privacy settings of the browser used to block or delete cookies, bearing in mind that disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect the operation of the site.
12.Users' rights
To the extent that cookies involve the processing of personal data, the user may exercise the rights to withdraw consent, of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability and objection, through the Rights Exercise Form or by contacting the Data Protection Officer.

14.Complaints to the supervisory authority
The user has the right to lodge a complaint with the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD), through the contacts available at www.cnpd.pt.
